E-mail the coaching staff ahead of time and ask. Sometimes they'll let people watch, others no.

    Re: Fall Practice

I think in past years they opened up one of the scrimmages to NCC members. Not 100% positive on that, but I seem to remember this happening before.

Regular practices, not sure. They're probably a little more lax with their rules if a player's family wants to watch for a while or if HS coaches want to drop by.

Or golfing and take a break on one of the holes near the practice field

I don't see how knowing you would get him in.

Not usually the case actually. Pretty sure these practices are closed to the public.

    Re: Fall Practice

I asked once - practices are closed to the general public. Gridiron club members are occasionally given some access, and high school/junior high coaches are generally given access if they call ahead. I'm not sure what if any credentials you need to present to prove membership or coaching.

I tried to go to a practice with my dad last year, but he wouldn't have been able to get in (I coach junior high), and I really wanted it to be a father/son thing (cue "Cat's in the Cradle").

    Re: Fall Practice

CGC usually has one Saturday scrimmage. $100 for the year.

That's what I was thinking of. Cyclone Gridiron Club has access to one of the scrimmages, or at least they have in the past.

We text back and forth usually after every practice or workout and he briefs me on things.

Most conversations have nothing to do with the actual workouts, he just highlights how hes adapting, how much he cant wait until the season starts, and how he feels about the direction that things are headed. He said there are certain players that really boost his ego and tell him how high their expectations are (he loves the pressure) and certain players that seem upset that hes there...but majority of the guys are happy to have him. He loves the coaches and says they are really personable and down to earth. Overall he can't wait to put on that Burgundy and Gold on Saturdays.

    Hope that helps you...
