    Season Tix

I am going to get my season tix tomorrow morning and would just like to get some more information about them...

I am going in at the $250 level and since I am under 30 I can get the "varsity" price (This is what I have gathered from some friends)? I want to get 3 tix so I would get two tix at the price of 195 and one tix at the price of 350?

Does this sound correct to anyone?

Sounds right to me. Varsity used to be a donation level in the NCC, specifically for people under 30. When we joined, I think it was $50. And all NCC members could get free parking (w/ season tickets.) Ah, the good old days of 2003...

That is absolutely correct. You are only allowed 2 tickets at the "varsity" level price. So your third ticket would be full price.

Varsity is still an NCC donation level. Its $100 annually now.

In order to get those 2 sets of discounted tickets you'll need to be an NCC member.

    Re: Season Tix

Something else you could think about to save a few bucks is to have a friend under 30 help you out (I was given this idea from the ticket office so it wasn't me trying to work the system). Anyhow, you could pay for them all & cut your donation level down to $100. You would pay for two NCC memberships at $100 each (one in your name and one in your friends name) and then get all 3 of your tickets for $195 (2 sets in your name and 1 set in your friends name) and just put a request on both sets to sit by the other person.

    Re: Season Tix

The ticket office gave me the business this year with that deal. I’m 29 and went back for the renewal and they said instead of $100 it needed to be $500. So instead of $100 + $195 x 2=$490 they told me $500 = $350 x 2=$1,200. I had to say no to that and I’m going to be on the hillside now. They were really rude about it so this so called valued season ticket holder of 8 years got the business and the hillside.

That sounds odd. Will you be 30 by Aug. 1? That's the deadline for Varsity prices. Football Tickets - Iowa State University Athletics Official Web Site - www.CYCLONES.com - The home of Iowa State Cyclone Sports

Nope, birthday is October 2nd. They also told me that I have donated $500 for the last few years. Funny how I never wrote any checks like that. Goodbye section 12 row 8 seats 5 & 6 hello cool grass. I wish they would have fixed the error.

The girl that was at the counter was very rude and the ticket manger didnt seam to want to look into it. I can even produce the old check stubs if they care to see. So the stone wall was built. Man I'm diehard cyclone so I'll find a way but it really hurt because I fannaly got priced out. Now that I think about it I wonder how many others will or have been priced out?

    Re: Season Tix

So is it a case of adjusting to the correct donation level for section 12, or did they mess up? Not following

A few years ago one of our friends donated $500 (two years in a row, IIRC) and that donation never showed up in the FB program. He asked about it and was told he'd donated on a certain date, which was absolutely not correct. He, too, told us he could find and show the withdrawals from his account, but it didn't seem to matter. He eventually stopped donating.

Although, I do think section 12 is $500/Cardinal level.

Section 12 maybe the $500 level but how in the heck was I there for like three years of my eight or so? Sometimes it felt like the visitors section was 11. Anyhow I’m past it and will continue to go and support the clones as much as I can. Sorry for the vent and high jack of the thread.

You should consider yourself lucky to have sat in those seats for the donation that you were giving. They probably caught the error and moved you out. No reason for them to be rude about it though. If I were you, I would have tried to get into section M or C, which are good seats for $100. Otherwise, you still had an option at a good deal with the Cy's Packs. Grass would have been my last resort, but then you can probably move to the stands after the 1st quarter if you feel like sticking it to the man for a year or two.

Are you sure lucky (last two seasons) is the right term to use?
