Twins vs. Sox 7/28 (Buehrle perfect through 5)

    Tied 0-0.

Buehrle just set the MLB record by retiring 42 consecutive batters, now at 43.

Huge game for both teams... Baker has a high pitch count for only allowing 3 hits thus far.

Twins announcers just brought up an interesting question. Would Gomez be looked down upon for trying to bunt on next inning? Posednik just tried in their half, would it be different if Gomez tried?

    There goes the no-no.

    Nice 45-straight though. Very impressive.

41-53 Record in CF Mafia. The most games played and wins by any player in Cyclone Fanatic History. Yes, I'm a nerd.

Re: Twins vs. Sox 7/28 (Buehrle perfect through 5)

How close to a record is 45 straight? I don't believe I've heard of anyone going that far before.

He can still have the no-no, so that's cool.

45 was the record. No-no was broken up on the next batter after the walk.

At least he got a record no one's touching for quite a while.

Jim Barr and Bobby Jenks had the old record at 41.

Still one of the most amazing things in the sport of baseball.
