    Some Moron in Philadelphia

has been shining a green laser pointer at Cardinals hitters, and now they've delayed the game, it appears until they find who the fan is and eject him. Idiots everywhere.

Edit: Back to play, but tons of ushers in the questionable sections so hopefully it doesn't happen again.

It would be a lot easier to find the guy at Wrigley Field. He'd be the one wearing the IOWA sweatshirt

Yeah... They were probably worried about the reaction of their families to someone shining a laser in their face... And couldn't focus on the game.

Probably more a matter of being distracted (not to mention that laser pointers can be harmful to the eye) while trying to hit an 80-90 mph pitch.

The pitching blew this game for the Cardinals more than the lack of bats.

    It's a slightly inside joke..

Well, to be honest, I can't really think of a better way to slow down Pujols and now Holiday, short of going Tonya Harding on them.

Seriously though, this is bush league and that fan should be banned from the stadium.

I can't speak for Haverhill...but outside of the first inning, Lohse wasn't bad. The relief pitching doomed us today. I'll admit when the team sucks and has a bad day.

Lohse only made it thru 4...he wasn't that good, either.

I don't know why I know this, but I've heard of studies on the effect of laser pointers when it comes to eye damage, and the green ones are much safer. You'd have to point it in your eye for about 15 straight minutes to do any type of damage.

    Re: Some Moron in Philadelphia

So that makes it okay to shine towards a hitter trying to focus on a rather fast object coming their way? Oookay.

If it wasn't a big deal, they wouldn't have stopped play to try to find the fan who brought it in.
