    FFL Straight Draft Question

Most FFLs only offer snake drafts. Does anyone know of a free fantasy football site that allows a straight draft? Heck even a free site to perform a straight mock draft would work.

The league I'm in decided to move away from its previous website (RTSports) and go with ESPN's free service. The downfall is that ESPN only offers the snake draft. With the top teams in our keeper league being stacked with talent, we decided to have a straight draft to keep the crap teams happy.

    Re: FFL Straight Draft Question

yahoo is free. we have done drafts that seem normal to me. Each year the first round is the keeper from the previous year.

We use yahoo as well. Plus I think they have free stat tracker now throughout the season which saved me 10 bucks.

ESPN allows you to do an offline draft and enter the results.

    Re: FFL Straight Draft Question

Just do the draft offline and put it on yahoo when you're done.

Every year we just draft live and write it down and then our commish puts it into the website.

I think every site Ive seen is either random or snake. Ive never seen a straight draft. But Yahoo has always been good to me.

    Re: FFL Straight Draft Question

A straight draft would almost be unfair. what is your issue with a snake draft? Seriously, if you have the #1 pick, you should not have the #1 pick in every round...

You think it'd be unfair, but we did a staight draft last year and the 11th and 12th picks (the championship game from the year before) were in the championship game again last year. Also, every year someone drops out and they usually have crappy team and keepers. Letting the new team manager know they will have a good draft position throughout helps get them to join.
