How many wins will it take

for Paul Rhoads to get Big 12 coach of the year in his first year at ISU? I say if we get seven he should get it.

If we get 7, he should definitely get it. No doubt.

I'd even say 6, if that includes getting to a bowl. You guys play in the post-season, PR gets COY (should, anyway).

That's ridiculous. And condescending. I'm not shocked.

Also depends on what happens in the rest of the conference. Mike Gundy takes the Big XII title with OSU, he's got it. Either Texas or OU wins the national title, Brown or Stoops has it.

    LOL, are you serious?

ISU is 3-19 in the last 2 seasons... if the Clones break even and go bowling, he should get conference COY.

I'd like to see it, it'll make football games much more fun this fall!

we have sucked...why is that anything other than an opinion that is legit?

    geesh!

As far as depth goes though, the combination of White, Woodbury, Olaseni, Basabe, and Uthoff is much better than Niang, Ejim, Edozie, Gibson. Not because of the top 2, but because of the next 2 or 3. -DeanVogs

If he puts away wins at Nebraska and Missouri while winning plenty of games in Ames, a 7 win season, he should be right there. The idea, though, is he has to perform in conference play, beating Iowa and NDSU probably won't get him as much respect as a Kansas win, or a Missouri win.

I believe that the Big 12 Coach of the year will be selected before a national champion is decided. If Rhoads somehow gets three conference victories in year one after two wins the previous two years combined he should get it over Stoops or Brown. I agree on Gundy, if they win the Big 12 South he is a lock.

I see wins against NDSU, Kent State, Baylor, Army, Kansas State, and Colorado. While no huge wins, that'd be a great turnaround, given ISU lost to two of those teams last year.

Grow up. I said I thought GJ post was condescending (it was) and you did your little "lol, seriously" crap, like because it's ISU a bowl game is so far out of reach that our coach should be given an award. You're a troll. This is about ISU football and wins--not Iowa. Shocking you and GJ are in this thread, huh?

Nope. Tired of the trolls. It started out as an ISU football thread, still is. But trolls come in and get smug about ISU football. If they can post their tiny opinions, so can I. Get used to CloneBoner, the trolls are thick on this message board. You may be okay with it now...but wait a while.
