    FB "mini-packs" (3 or 4 game)

Mini-Packs go on sale the 20th. Anyone know the location in Jack Trice? Do you actually get a seat for $99?

Yeah they will be real seats, but it's highly doubtful they will be the same seats for each game.

I think last year the mini packs were even in some donor sections, but I am not sure about this year...

Any idea if these are on sale Monday at 12:00am or is it later in the day?

    Re: FB "mini-packs" (3 or 4 game)

So no Applebees sponsorship this year?

And ( I know I'm going to get drilled for this but...) since the iowa game "no singles" policy is pretty much an official failure and not drumming up additional business - can we go back Cyclone Members swooping them up as part of the old ticket ordering process?

Yes - it's an official failure. I supported it when he started, but it's done. JP charged $90+ (effectively) two years ago, and now he's pretty much giving away 2 games to go with it. What' the net benefit? Those tickets never saw the light of day as singles outside of donors anyway. It's more likely that hawk fans will get them now and just toss the other two games since they're only paying a $5-$10 dollar premium (presuming that's what we're charging iowa again)

And why put the NDSU game in there? I thought the demand was so high for that Thurs game and all......

If it went back to NCC members only buying them, the same effect would happen: they'd just go on Ebay, Stubhub, etc., and Hawks fans would buy them.

All this really says to me is that over these last few years, there hasn't been a growth in Cyclone Fans. If you have tons of season ticket holders, you don't need to sell singles and mini-packs.

That may very well be the case, but at the least it's a more indirect route. And they touched ISU fans hands first, who may (or may not) make a decision to sell.

There probably will be more hawk fans in line for these than Clones.

And your second line is the unfortunate and obvious conclusion to be made.

Hell, that 99 dollar pack for the Iowa game sounds pretty appealing to me. If I can get the Mrs. to go along with it, I might pull the trigger on it.

Can't beat paying 33 dollars for a college football game.

We've done this for years. Iowa does the same thing. No big deal. I wasn't a huge fan of the ticket policy in 2007. I want ***** in those seats! The long term $ that's made by getting people into the games and developing an attachment to the Cyclones is huge. Not to mention, they buy stuff at the games. Thankfully we haven't had any empty games in quite some time.

Iowa isn't selling 3 games for 33.00 bucks apiece, or 4 for 24.75. In fact, this year is the first year I can ever remember where Iowa has sold mini-packs, but I might be wrong on that. If they ever did do it before this year, they didn't advertise it very well.

I'm quite positive is selling a bundle of games that isn't the whole season ticket package. I remember hearing either Miller and Deace or Matt and Miller talking about how it forces you to go to either Indiana or Ark. State and then you get 2 other Big 10 games.

Dude, that's not possible. Iowa has had, what, like, 40 consecutive home sellouts!

They are, and this is the first year they've done it. What's somewhat irritating about it is the only game you can't get in the mini-pack is the Michigan game.

Edit - you have to get either one or both of the Indiana/Ark. St. games, and then you have to pick at least 2 out of UNI, Northwestern, Arizona, or Minnesota - but you can pick all 4 of those if you want.

    Re: FB "mini-packs" (3 or 4 game)

Haven't we had record or near record season ticket sales the past few years? How is that a failure? I want 60k+ Cyclone fans in JTS for everygame as well, but right now we need to just sell as many tickets as possible to 1) collect ticket revenue 2) collect consessions revenue 3) build emotional connections to potential fans, particularly young fans.
