If you had to make a choice.....

.... which of these two would you choose?

    A) Brackins decides to stay for his senior year after this year is over, but HB chooses Kansas.

    OR

    B) Brackins goes pro after this year, HB commits to ISU, but we only get him for one year and then he goes pro.

So basically, in two years you can either have Brackins or HB, but you're only going to have either one for only one year.

I choose Brackins for his senior year easily. Brackins is a known commodity and although HB seems to be a sure bet... you just never know how good they will translate to the next level?

I choose Barnes, mainly because I would hate to hold Brackins another year. He deserves to get on to his NBA shot. Of course if he wants to stay, I wouldn't complain. Also, I would hate for Barnes to go to KU. This way ISU wins all around.

Re: If you had to make a choice.....

ohh tough choice, i would probably choose HB simply because it would not only mean the publicity and future recruits seeing success here from Craig, but also the huge publicity to ISU with the arrival of Harrison and him going to the NBA, just thinking of the Cyclones in the "Big Picture" here

i highly doubt that Barnes will be one and done, but i would rather have him come here. Having amazing one and done prospects usually gives a school a better reputation in terms of recruiting and you'll have better high talent prospects coming into the school, look at K-state and their recruiting classes the past few years

CB... Hard to argue with 20+ and 10 per game.

Re: If you had to make a choice.....

Whay do we have to make THAT choice? It's my pick, so I choose CB deciding to stick around to play with HB and win a(nother) national championship.

It's not as if it's mutually exclusive, after all.

You think he'll put up 20+ per game with more scorers on the team?

HB for one year. The carryover effects would help more than Brackins staying for his senior season.

Better to have HB for one year than someone else to have him.

agreed, i would rather have HB and being able to call him a Cyclone, then ever refer to him as a Blue Devil, Tar Heel, Jayhawk, or Gopher ever.

He is from Ames and would be a true Cyclone even if it was for only one year...

I think he would average more than HB would with the same supporting cast.

    I will take C:
CB comes back for Senior year, HB comes to ISU for at least one year, and Gilstrap receives a 6th year from the NCAA.

If you had to make a choice:

Harrison Barnes to Iowa, playing there 4 years, and going to a Final Four

    OR

Going winless in football for the next 4 years?

I do...he could actually have a chance to get set up for easy looks in addition to the shots he has to create with more penetrators/threats on the court...

Im just glad I have Homan as my bodyguard, Eustachy joked. If I ever make it real big and get to drive a limo everyday, hell be driving it. I thought he came off the bench like somebody was stealing his cow or something.

    and choice D. is.....

Craig comes back for senior year, HB comes to the good guys, Gilstrap gets 6th year, Colvin is nothing short of spectacular, Ejim decides to commit with the Clones as well and........ the Cyclones win the National Championship!!!!!

I have had my Kool-aid before bed and it tastes pretty good!

    Lets go with choice D.
