Chiefs sign Cassel: 6 yrs $63 mil

Matt Cassel signs long-term deal with Kansas City Chiefs - ESPN

This is risky! I was fine with trading for him and letting him prove last year was not a 1 hit wonder before locking him up but wow, never saw this one coming. Hope he's not the next Elvis Grbac

I wouldn't have a problem with it as a Chiefs fan. It's not like you're paying $60M+ and $31M guaranteed for the next bust out of LSU.

Re: Chiefs sign Cassel: 6 yrs $63 mil

The problem is that if they did let him prove himself then and he has an All-Pro year...then he is going to ask for $100 million (like very good QBs do). I think it reflects sports today...owners (most) want to win...but they have to fear being too good because it will cost them (although not as much in the NFL as the other pro leagues). The Chiefs are basically hedging their bets here...

    How.....nice...

Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice?
Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this.

Isn't this deal actually for more than what Brady was making up untill he redid his contract before last year?
