Don't mean to rub it in

I always love a good mid-west thunderstorm, but you really can't beat the weather where I'm at right now.

I'm currently sitting in a non-air-conditioned house and not sweating! High today was 96 degrees, heat index was 90, you heard me right. There isn't a cloud in the sky, not to mention the fact I can see the sky thanks to the 10% humidity. We are looking toward lows in the upper 50's and the sky will stay light until almost 10:30 (thank you Pacific). Did I also mention we get 300 days of sunshine.

For my birthday tomorrow, I think I'll hike up to a glaciated lake or go swimming in a crystal clear, top 10 cleanest rated river in the world (or at least it was about 10 years ago). The only thing that could make this better is if the Cyclones played just down the road, but that will never happen.

Re: Don't mean to rub it in

Here are a few of many local lakes, the second one is the one I'm hiking to, or I might hike to the lake next valley over which is even higher and more isolated.

This one is actually on the other side of the mountians, but it is still within a two hour drive.
