    Eric Frimpong Story

The Story of Prisoner F95488 - ESPN The Magazine's feature on Eric Frimpong, former UCSB soccer star - ESPN

Great story about a terrible situation... I hope that it gets resolved because this story makes it sounds like he's very innocent...

Wow long story, but pretty crazy circumstances. Hope he gets his appeal.

Another lessen for college kids (athletes especially), know who you are associating with. You're less likely to end up in trouble.

One of the best story's they have ever done. The kid sounds innocent as hell. Can['t beleive they found him guilty with such little evidence.

Not just such little evidence, but evidence that tends to prove his side of the story - beach sand only found in the cuffs of his pants, none of his "DNA" found on her or her clothing, the only of his DNA found on her was unidentifiable cells under her fingernails (which jibes with his story of what events happened), none of her DNA found on him. The evidence they have points to her ex-boyfriend being the rapist - and yet they convict him anyway. Clearly race is an issue as Santa Barbara is known to be a racist community, not to mention the 9 women-3 men-no black jury and the judge overruling virtually every single objection that would fall in the defendant's favor. This thing reaks and screams of the same kind of injustice found in the Duke rape and Genarlow Wilson cases, and is reason enough for me that judges that perpetuate/allow such a miscarriage of justice should be disbarred and/or removed from the bench.

Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this.
