My college experience was a whole series of bad decisions. It started with the realization that you could meet lots of ladies through the on-campus internet, combined with the realization that I didn't necessarily have to go to class to do well on the tests = not a lot of time focused on scholastic achievement. Or let's be honest.....no time spent on scholastic achievement. I'm quite sure my beers drank were 5x > classroom days attended.
Drank a bottle of schnapps one night followed by some beer at Cy's. Got carried home by some buddies and it's the only time I've ever blacked out. Thankfully I had some good friends keeping an eye on me.
To top it off my folks showed up the next morning for a "surprise" visit.
Sold plasma (blood not tv) for food money. $45 a week.
This was quite possibly the best paying job I ever had - especially for the amount of work done. By the last couple years with some of their bonuses I was making $60 a week - which comes out to around $17-20 an hour.....
Never really was too poor in college. Found out early on the selling T-shirts can make a college kid a lot of money. Also was an electronic media major and made decent money and got credit making videos for various departments.
Exaggeration is a BILLION times worse than understating.
