I've only been watching ISU since 2000... so I'm going to say in my time its either Ellis Hobbs, Reggie Hayword, or Seneca Wallace.

Troy Davis. To do what he did running behind an average line at best, teams knowing he was going to get the ball, and having few other weapons on the team was amazing.

I think TD as well, however I believe the line he played behind was better than average. Lots of big boys up front. He'll be the first to tell you he didn't do it alone...

The problem with a poll like this is that it'll favor the recent players.

A lot of his yards were gained when the first hole wasnt there. That line compaired to the rest of the Big 12 was middle of the pack.

By ISU standards that was a very good line, but I agree, by conference standards it was good but not great. TD was amazing, and the best offensive player at ISU in my lifetime, which is pretty long.

Another vote for Troy Davis. The fact that he was snubbed 2x for the Hesiman is unbelievable.

an average line??? ARE YOU SERIOUS? That was one of the best O-lines we ever had. They were a MAJOR reason Troy did what he did...that and our defense couldn't stop anything so our offense always had the ball.

As mentioned above, it WAS an average line--especially by conference standards. It was simply well coached. Talentwise, there were lines in the '80's and early '90's that were much better. I can't speak for the teams of the Seventies or earlier...

    Paul Rhoads' players never quit.
    (They just disappear offseason)

Those guys were HUGE. I contend that with any other ISU line in the last 15 years and troy doesn't get his yards.
