    Slow Pitch Softball Bats

I am thinking about getting a different used slow pitch softball bat. I have an aluminum Easton now, but am thinking about trying to find a cheap used Easton Stealth composite bat. Does anyone have any recommendations on what to buy or where to buy at? I have been checking on ebay, but most are new and very expensive.

    Re: Slow Pitch Softball Bats

What kind of league do you play in? Make sure whatever bat you're looking at is legal for that league.

The hub has bought bats both off eBay and at Scheels/other sporting goods stores. He's been happy with both places.

He has had a couple Demarinis he's loved (the Fat Boy especially) and Louisville Slugger TPS. A quick check on my eBay watch list shows two Demarinis and four LS TPS bats. (he uses my eBay account because he's too lazy to start his own).

You can get some good deals on eBay, but you have to do some searching for them.

    Re: Slow Pitch Softball Bats

If you play in a normal ASA league, I would recommend the bat I use. It is a Miken Freak 98, and I got mine on ebay for $199 w/ free shipping. The composite bats need to be "broken in", but mine didn't take long at all. I love it, and I can't keep the rest of my team from using it. They all want to use the freak.

softballfans.com is a good place to buy both new and used bats.

If you play in an ASA league I would recommend the original Easton Synergy Extended. Best ASA bat I have ever hit with.

I have never had any luck with multiwall bats. The barrels end up oval in about 7 games.

IMO nothing compares to the DeMarrini Juggernaut at this point.

I've got a used TPS Super Cell (double wall) I'll sell you. PM me if interested.

    +1

These are sweet. Have a lot of pop to them if you break them in correctly, which you have to do with any composite bat from what I understand.

I have this same one and I love it. Hard as heck to find now and you'll probably pay good money for it. Someone that uses it on one of my SB teams says he's had 3 different guys offer to buy it when he's taken it up to the plate.

As for bats the Miken Freak 98 is another good one, getting tougher to find too now. Newer bats that are popular are:

    DeMarini Juggernaut:

    Miken Recoil:

    Miken NRG:

And the new Easton Synergy Clear:

If you want something that is going to have some good pop to it you are going to have to probably pay around $200-$300 for a good composite bat. Trust me, you'll notice a big difference swinging a composite over an aluminum. Some of the composites take a bit to break in before they get some real good pop but usually only around 500 hits or so on it so use it for some batting practice a few times and it should break in pretty quickly.
