    Ben Gordon to Pistons

Received a 5 year 55 million dollar deal. Charlie Villanueva follows him from Bucks for a 5 year 40 million dollar deal. Where does this leave the Bulls? Grizzlies got 20 and 10 guy Zach Randolph.

Sources: Detroit Pistons agree with both Ben Gordon, Charlie Villanueva - ESPN

Villanueva went from the Bucks to the Pistons not the Grizzlies

I'm sad as well about this. The whole 2010 shopping spree better be for real or the Bulls are real trouble. I don't even want to think about where this team would be without Derrick Rose.

It makes the Bulls better is what it does. Yeah he was our leading scorer, but that will happen when you jack up the ball every time you get it. I'll tell what I won't miss is his lack of defense. Bulls will still be in the top 5 in the east, and in next year's FA class Chicago will lure Wade home to form the best back court in the league.

    Re: Ben Gordon to Pistons

The Bulls traded for John Salmons last year who was pretty good for them. Plus he's a bigger guard (6-6 207) and plays better defense than Gordon. May not be as great of a scorer as Gordon but he still averaged over 18 ppg with the Bulls and shot about the same %'s in all categories as Gordon.

I don't know if he'd be a good fit for the Bulls but taking a look at Allen Iverson might not be too bad of a risk. He's probably only going to get 1-2 years at the mid-level exception. There aren't a lot of quality SG on the market this year or at least ones the Bulls can afford. They have a lot of guys at PF right now who could be trade bait. I'd love to see David Lee find his way to Chicago but that would probably require a sign and trade.

I agree with the first part. I hope you are right about the second half of the post!

I didn't really dislike Gordon, but am glad to see him go. He was taking too many shots. Would be cool to see Wade come in here next year if that is possible.

    Re: Ben Gordon to Pistons

Thank God the Bulls didn't give this guy over $50 million. It would have been a disaster if he had accepted one of those long term offers he had from the Bulls the last two years. The Bulls already have to honor a way too big contract with Luol Deng. If they kept Gordon, that would have been crippling and left them in a state of mediocrity. Have a decent season this year, and then make a splash next summer and really go for it.

Good job, Joe Dumars. You made a great move to get rid of Chauncey's contract, and immediately gave that money to a ballhog who is undersized and incapable of guarding anyone.

Winner, Winner Chicken Dinner. Every Bulls game I watched, it seemed that Gordon's lack of defense and size hurt them more than it helped. And if his shot is off, he keeps shooting, and shooting.

I agree with this. I would also like David Lee. I'd almost do a Deng for Lee trade. I'll never understand why the Bulls gave Deng all that jack. He got all star money when he is a solid role player at best.

    Re: Ben Gordon to Pistons

Gordon sucks. I have said it for years and said it loudly during the playoffs. He is cancer to an offense as he dribbles the air out of the ball. Plus he is a very small SG and his defense is weak.

The Bulls are still a go to scorer away from being really good but they will be able to move the ball much better now
