Jamie Pollard's response to The Johnny Orr Project

I've attached a PDF of Jamie's response to our letter, as he has given us permission to do so. I'm thrilled that there is already a plan in motion to honor Coach Orr! Mr. Polllard also said in his email response that the best way to help push this project forward is to join the Cyclone Club, and I will be doing that shortly. If you would like to do so, please click here:

I cannot wait to find out the way in which ISU intends to honor Coach Orr! It has been a long time coming!

Nice work guys! At the same time I wonder how much it costs to put a name on a floor... Any other plans could still be done later.

Now that MBB is back, do we still have to pretend that WBB matters?

I don't know........I just clicked on it, and it does take a while to load, but it eventually comes up to size.

I am completely psyched for this fall! I cannot wait to find out what they are planning. Obviously, it has to be something significant for money to be an issue!

I'm glad something is going to be done, but I'm afraid that if we wait too long, well, you know.

I would expect that if it were that it would have been done. But this sounds like something with financial implications and that doesn't seem to warrant a lot of money.

I am expecting the floor to get named after him. I think it would take a little bit of extra cash to get some permanent fixtures for the floor.

Will it be Johnny Orr Court or Johnny Orr Floor? (my pick)

how much does a paint brush and some paint costs? I know we are in a recession, but come on put his name on the floor!

Yeah, it's not that easy or cheap. You have to sand the sealant away, repaint it, and reseal it. The smart time to do it would have been last summer when they repainted/resealed the floor.
