They should be able to meet the need, and it will be extremely good for them as well because the rest of the Chevy line is going bad....

That's good news for government motors.

I think they have handled the release of the Camaro very well.

I'm happy for GM. Glad they have a vehicle people are interested in again.

Do they transform? Does Megan Fox come with them?

Re: Chevy Races to Meet Demand for '10 Camaro

I saw one on the road for the first time last week, and it certainly got my attention.

....That said, I'm on board with the others on here that I can't see myself ever buying from government motors again.

So, what brand will you buy? I was under the impression that Honda and Toyota had received money from the Japanese government.

Why would I care how much Japan gave Honda or Toyota? It's not my tax dollars.

That said probably a Ford, Honda, or Toyota. My family has two Camry's right now, although one is 15 years old and has 271k miles. Hopefully I'll be in the market later this fall for another vehicle.

Re: Chevy Races to Meet Demand for '10 Camaro

I am fully for getting government out of business, but I wouldn't let that totally define what I purchase. Afterall, I now have a vested interest in GM's bottom line.

Tax Abatements are a lot different than bailing out a company. Really?! Isn't it just the government "giving" them money? Maybe GM should have just asked for all their property taxes to be forgivn for the next 10 years...

Yes, because if they go under we will be in much better shape.

Re: Chevy Races to Meet Demand for '10 Camaro

BTW-I try not to buy vehicles based on emotional factors like brand loyalty, where it's made, "everyone has one" factor, government hand-outs, etc.

I first decide what type of car I want and then I test drive them to see which one is the best. I also look a little bit into things like resale value history, reliability, etc but I can usually tell from driving a car a few miles whether it's well made or not. All cars have flaws, you just have to decide what's important in your situation and what you're willing to give up. A Hummer H2/H3 in my head may be the dumbest vehicles that have ever been created but for some people it makes sense to own one.

I knew when I bought my last car that I could have spent less money for a Honda that was going to get better mpg and probably be more reliable but I decided that other factors were more important to me.
