    Non-conference for basketball next year

    So far I've got:

Iowa, UNI, @Drake, @Cal, Duke in Chicago, Chicago Tournament. Any other known opponents at this time that I am missing?

Iowa, UNI, @Drake, @Cal, vs. Duke, vs. Saint Louis, then either Northwestern or Notre Dame, Bradley, and Houston.

We have an opportunity to face Kyle Singler and Luke Harangody before we even hit conference play.

It's a good non-con schedule though. Definitely looking forward to it.

Kyle Singler vs. Gilstrap and Luke Harangody vs. Brackins. Awesome!

Agreed, brother. Last year I made the in-laws pay for ESPNU to watch the Oregon State game while I was in Nebby. I told them it was the best NC game we had. Pathetic.

Yes it is...arguably the most challenging non-conference schedule since Orr was here.

With this non-conference schedule, the games w/ Houston, Bradley, Saint Louis, and Iowa are must-wins.

Does Houston return everyone? I know they finished strong last year in the C-USA.

How so? I am for what is in the best interest of ISU basketball.

They return their top two scorers in Aubrey Coleman (who you may remember from stomping on Chase Budinger's face), and Kelvin Lewis.
They went 10-6 in Conference USA last year and should be a good challenge...UNI also returns everyone but Travis Brown from their NCAA tourney team, and Bradley returns nearly everyone. Bradley is far and away the most athletic team in the Missouri Valley.

I don't disagree with you, swarthmore. I do not want to play the NC sched we had Victor Alexander's last year. But it would (will) be nice to have some games in the NC that we (maybe just me) can get really excited for, other than the in-states. Also we have a much better chance of being on TV.

Yeah, we could just as easily win those games as lose them. Im not saying we will lose them, but they will ALL still be a challenge. I dont care how much our team is better from last year.

I would trade all that for a better chance at The NCAA.

Yep, and the Big 12 will be even tougher. ISU could have their best team of the last 9 years, and not even make the NIT.
