Iowa State and Wyoming. Wyoming won.

DMac elected to go on offense first and failed to make the fg...Wyoming made theirs.

That's the only thing I saw Iowa State featured in when I was at the CFB Hall of Fame a few weeks ago.

Did you see anything for the Hawks? They must have many items.

Dan elected to take the ball first but do you remember why? He talked about it after the game.

This was the first of many coaching blunders by DMac. Quite honestly, it's embarrassing if you think about it. I was there and remember going nuts in the stands when he did this

I can remember that game like it was yesterday...or not. The student section wasn't general admission in that area (SE side). From my recollection, Dan didn't take the ball first, he picked that side because the students were there and he thought they'd make a lot of noise and he thought that would be more important than being on defense first. Wyoming then got to choose defense, and then they won.

A flag on the wall when you walk downstairs. Nile Kinnick in the Heisman Trophy winners exhibit. Nile Kinnick in the general Hall of Fame for being inducted. Other than that, it's a love fest with Notre Dame (which wasn't surprising since it's in downtown South Bend), Ohio State, and Michigan.

Bad choice, but the main reason we lost is that we didn't advance the ball and missed a 42 yard FG or something like that....Or it could be the 17 point lead we blew in the fourth quarter.

Then again he would have been bailed out had Jamie Kohl not shanked the fg attempt off of the upright.... It was a chip-shot if my memory serves me correctly...

Trying to look this up...it looks like Wyoming hit a 41 yarder to win, so maybe that is the long one I was thinking of. I am pretty sure they blew that huge lead though.

I remember being highly intoxicated, and I think we led by 15 entering the 4th.
