Article on former ISU standout Ace Bowen

Being a Bills fan I ran across this article... Thought some might like to read it. I hope this kid can show what he's got in the NFL. I talked with him several times in college and you couldn't meet a nicer guy. Honestly, the kid would give you the shirt off his back.

    Bowen prepared for next step

Guy was a tackling machine. He was all smiles after his last game at ISU, you could tell he loved being a Cyclone.

Here is hoping he can make something of himself in the NFL.

Hes a great example of a guy whos slightly undersized, not real fast, but he can just flat out play.

Maybe he will learn how to be in the news from Terrell Owens since they play on the same team

One of the things that I loved about Ace, was that he was always talking smack during the games. He would mouth off to the running back after tackling him and then knock the guys teeth out with the next tacke just to back it up.

No doubt... the guy was a beast. A great example of tackling through people. I hope we can find some more guys on defense that have his kind of intensity.

There were more than a few missed tackles, too, because he wouldn't wrap up. In the Big 12, dropping a shoulder doesn't necessarily equate to stopping the ballcarrier. That's my biggest knock on the Bowen era. Had he actually wrapped up instead of going for the big hit, he would have had a lot more tackles.
