    corrections to rule

I made a post a while back saying what would it be like if all BCS teams could only recruit in-state. Well, I've changed my mind on that so here is IMO a better more realistic idea.

Make it a rule that all public colleges can only offer players whose parents pay taxes to support that college.

Private colleges can offer anyone they want because they are not paid for via taxes.

    Sound a little better?

So I assume that you only want ISU and Iowa to accept students from in state as well? Because if you have a diverse student population that our universities have, then fielding a team with just Iowans does not really represent our school now does it.

I don't know your reasoning for these questions but they just don't make a lot of sense. In order for the student athletes to go to ISU they (the athletic dept if on scholarship) is required to pay out of state or international tuition. This increased tuition reflects the lack of tax revenue that you mentioned.

Imagine if only team can field players without an arrest record.
