    Murph & Andy: Lakers

So, listening to the "best uniforms all time" discussion they cross the Lakers threshold and one of them says they aren't sure why the Lakers are even called that being in LA...I really, really hope that wasn't a Jon Miller moment and that they were joking.

They probably weren't. Des Moines sports market is a joke, and it's really the listeners fault. If we demanded more excellence, we'd probably get it.

Miller and Deace is an upgrade over Cotlar, but the show is basically Big 10/College Football Digest.

    Murph and Andy are horrible.

Perrault and Miller at first were good, but now I'm realizing that Perrault is a poser. He's one of those guys that just throw out "fact" after "fact" until he throws a "fact" about something that you actually know about and realize he's wrong.

Anyhow, sports radio in Des Moines went from a D- to a D+, but it still blows hard...

That said, I have totally stopped listening to any of the shows yet again... I gave it a real shot, listening for a handful of weeks, but I can't take it anymore....

I assume they know why they are called the Lakers but it still doesn't make sense any more. Same with the Jazz.

I can't disagree. I listen but only to find faults.

    Hopefully football season will help.

I'm totally with you mplscyclone. I just got to the point where I couldn't take it any more. In order to preserve my sanity, I simply stopped listening.

It is good to know that Murph and Andy were able to come up with another "list" to discuss today in order to give them another show topic that would allow absolutely no show prep. Those two are the absolute worst sports talk show hosts I have heard on radio in any market, period!

No you said you had officially decided that you couldn't listen anymore because of "peace out". Are you saying that you are a liar?

As far as depth goes though, the combination of White, Woodbury, Olaseni, Basabe, and Uthoff is much better than Niang, Ejim, Edozie, Gibson. Not because of the top 2, but because of the next 2 or 3. -DeanVogs

Pau Gasol is tall and kind of hairy-lookin', so while he was in Memphis, he might have been mistaken for a grizzly bear...

I actually said that he can be ignored for eternity. I can still listen as long as I ignore him.

WHAT??? You mean you don't just love Tana Geortz coming on with her giant, know everything ego? I wish I could have Tana come to my job and just spout off nonsense, call it my work product, and get away with it.
