    Old School Bowling Alleys

20th Century lanes in Ames is closing, so I went to the new alley, Perfect Games, in west Ames last weekend. That place is nice, but its more for 8th graders looking to spend their allowence. I'm looking for an place within driving distance of Ames with nice lanes, cold beer, and greasy food. Perfect Games doesn't even sell burgers and the beer was warm.

To be honest, I looking for an old piece of **** alley (not the MU). Anybody got any ideas?

Didn't there used to be a duck pin bowling alley in Ames? I remember hearing about it as a kid but never got a chance to go. Basically they had mini pins and balls and you got three ball per frame.

I didn't know 20th Century was closing. I drove by there the other day and actually looked at the building, it really is a crap shack.
