    Firefox Question

I'm using Firefox 3 on a Mac, and wondering if anyone knows how to change the setting on how to view files. I used Safari when I knew I'd be seeing a lot of .pdf files because they would just show up in another tab without being downloaded and cluttering my desktop. If I wanted to save it, I could save it to Preview (Mac's version of Adobe Acrobat Reader) but if I didn't, I could just close out the tab. Safari started running ridiculously slow so I've recently gone back to Firefox full-time.

But when I click on a .pdf link in Firefox, it automatically downloads to the desktop and opens in Preview. Is there anyway to change the setting so that it's like Safari and just opens in a new tab?

    Re: Firefox Question

I don't have an "options" or "applications" choice under the Tools drop-down.

When I go to Preferences, I can view all applications and how they work. All I can do from there is choose where it downloads to and what program opens it (Desktop, Preview).
