Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

Re: Seneca's Run no. 24 on espn's memorable list

What they said, part II: "Here's Wallace, pumping, looking, running to his right, looking...and he's going to be almost caught...now he's running at the 25...and runs...down the sideline back to the 10! Now he's giving ground, goes around the 10 to the left side, to the 5, touchdown! Oh my goodness, what a run by Wallace!" Transcript from the radio call made by the late voice of ISU athletics, Pete Taylor.
even reading that gave me goosebumps

Number 24? That stinks. Should be higher.

Re: Seneca's Run no. 24 on espn's memorable list

But those hopes were quashed as the Cyclones stumbled down the stretch, losing six of their last seven games. The unraveling started the following week in a 49-3 beatdown and Oklahoma and didn't stop until the Cyclones dropped a 34-16 loss to Boise State in the Humanitarian Bowl.

Tech rebounded to claim four of their next five games to force a winner-take-all battle with Oklahoma for the Big 12 South title. After losing that game the Sooners, Tech advanced to the Tangerine Bowl, where it claimed a 55-15 triumph over Clemson.
Jeez..talk about teams that went in different directions.

Three words into that Pete Taylor quote and I might as well have quit reading. I have watched that thing dozens of times. Pete was the best voice ever.

This is by far one of my favorite youtube clips of all time. The more I watch it though I think I may need to start calling it Mike Wagner "The Block".

Wags actually had TWO great blocks on the play. He picked up a free guy right after the snap, on the left side on the line of scrimmage (next to #71 Casey Shelton).

I was sitting at the other end of the field, and our section went nuts! Top 2 material as far as JT plays I've ever witnessed.

that run never gets old. In fact for good time's sake I just watched it again (3 times). Every time I watch it the hair on the back of my neck stands up when Wags makes that block and you literally hear the volume in the stadium go up a few decibals.
