There is a pretty decent deal on slickdeals.net right now on a sony prs 505 ebook reader for $200. I have been looking around at ereaders for awhile and would like the kindle but not for $400. I have seen the sony reader and have heard some good things about it, but haven't really used it.
It looks like it can handle a few different formats but I was wondering how the thing is. Are there any CFers that use or have used the Sony Ereader and what was your experience.
I travel like all summer and listen to quite a few audiobooks so I like I would get a lot of use out of it but I didnt know if it was worth going after this sony reader.
Personally, if I am going to invest in a eReader, I am going to get the best one, which is the Kindle. The Sony store doesn't have very many titles, and the reader has no WiFi. That said, the Kindle and it's books are just too expensive right now. I can get a used book for less than an eBook, and that's not gonna cut it for me.
That's just me, though. I think the Sony one is a good deal for the price.
Forever trying to find a cure for the Dunning-Kruger Effect.
