    Re: Miller Park

been there for multiple games the last 3 yrs.

Can you narrow it down for me?

I have seats from a tix package in the right field porch. Not bad seats - its right by the head, and where they do the post game show. I have also sat in upper deck left field foul territory (ok, really high), and in the left field porch, which were great seats.

I don't have any specific preference to sit, I just want to know where the best value is.

    Re: Miller Park

Went last September for their last series of the year against the Cubs, and had seats in the upper deck behind the plate for both games. They're good seats, but with the way the place was built, all the decks are pretty much on top of each other, so they're not for people afraid of heights.

Parking is fairly easy, but expensive; there is no public transportation going to the stadium, which sucks. If you're into tailgating (who isn't?) the scene at Miller Park is pretty cool, it's as if you're at a football game.

is the day of the game flexible? They were running some promo when i sat in the left field porch - got tix for $13, which I thought was a great value... (also had one dollar hot dogs!)

The earlier poster was right- all the seats are pretty good. I really like the outfield bleacher seats are fun, because the crowd really gets into it when Fielder and Braun start smacking homers. Also, "Trevor Time" is a party in itself. The atmosphere has really improved the last couple years w/ the Brewers improving from cellar-dwellers...

Depending on the game, I may even be able to sell you $15 tix for the right field porch. (part of my ticket package).

    Re: Miller Park

My favorite place to sit at Miller park is upper sections 222-224. There is a beer vendor right behind it, nice and close, also a restroom. It's good when you can make those trips fast and not have to wonder around ;)

Having a drink or some dinner on the outside seats at TGI Friday's is cool too. Fun and easy to heckle the left fielders.

We were at the Friday night and Saturday games. The Friday night was interesting, it began with Mrs. THH and I along with a couple friends who had come along, and the 3 mid-20's age Brewer fans in front of us were all painting the sidewalk with tobacco spit, which was not cool. Needless to say, the night went downhill from there.

Anyhow, a few more things for the OP. I can't stress how high the seats in the upper deck are. If you or whoever you're with are afraid of heights, don't sit there. My wife and friends wife had to go down to the concourse because of it. Whats weird about it is that they're not bad seats for how high up you are, they're actually very good.

Another thing, if you're in the upper deck and they close the dome, it's going to get hot, especially if you're down the 1st-base line.

Lastly, under no circumstances should you stay at the Days Inn on Blue Mound. That was the hotel I picked, mainly because it was close to the stadium (no subways/trains), but we ended up leaving the next morning and headed to New Berlin for the Holiday Inn Express (cinammon rolls!)
That Days Inn was quickly nicknamed the Date Rape Inn.

    Re: Miller Park

Was there about 3 summers ago when the Cardinals played up there, sat on the 3rd baseline about 5 rows up just past the dugout. My dad got those tickets from a friend, and they were season-ticket holder only I believe. Awesome seats...but probably not family-friendly on a place like stubhub or anything.

Went 2 years ago when the Indians played their series there when that April blizzard forced them out of Cleveland. Drove up after morning class, got there about an hour before first pitch and nailed $25 3rd row seats in the 2nd deck behind home plate. Probably just dumb luck for that though.

So not much help here, but there really isn't a bad seat. I'm one who gets to stadiums when the gates open and walks around every level to check it out, and Miller really didn't have any bad sightlines or anything too nauseating.

    Re: Miller Park

What is the driving/parking situation? Like, is it important to stay close to the stadium or is it fairly easy to drive to?

    Any suggestions for hotels?

right off the interstate - can't miss the stadium and lots. As far as the "neighborhoods" Milwaukee can get dicey - but the stadium isnt' really around anything. just get right back on the freeway and your good.

I second these seats, they are perfect.

I was just there over their opening weekend, our tickets were spendy because it was the Cubs, but the location was great.

We took a taxi from Water Street to the game, it was 30 bucks, dropped us off right in front. We took a bus back to Water Street after the game, people on the bus told us where to get off...so you might want to do some research and take those buses to game, it was 2.00!

    Have fun.
