    New 2010 Post offer?

Scout is reporting ISU has offered a 2010 center named DJ Haley. He was at the camp this weekend in Cal.
From the article he sounds like a project with good size. Maybe like a Hamilton? ISU is his best offer (only BCS) to date.
Cyismydog/k-g have anything on him? If he is a project, he should have a couple years to develop once he would get to ISU-with Dendy, Hamilton, and LA ahead of him.

Looks like ISU has Palmdale, CA on lockdown if true.

That's awesome...another kid out of Palmdale. Between the football and bball teams, there is quite the pipeline forming up there.

10 and 10 a game. not bad, not stellar. espn seems to think highly of him though, which typically doesn't translate for 100% accuracy. 45% free throw shooting could be worked on. wonder hom many minutes he played a game.

From what I understand, we already were on him....I've heard that he may go to prep school. (Not for grades, as he has a 3.8 on a 4.0 scale)

I would much rather have a C for PF as a 'project' vs any other position. GMac has proven that he can coach and improve big men. Ham and Hubalek are great examples.

When I hear about big guys being mechanical and unathletic, I always worry about Seth Gorney syndrome. But I do trust Mac when it comes to big guys, so if he thinks he's good that's good enough for me.

The problem is that we're not going to get any 6'10 or 7's if they're not projects. Anyone with that size and not projects are going to Kansas, Duke, or UNC.

Agreed. Focus on getting polished, well developed, athletic guards. Find the "diamond in the rough" posts if we have to.
