Homemaker sales guy is really close to car lot guy.

I'm sorry if any of you work there.

If the couches were outside, I'm sure they'd all be huddled by the doors smoking heaters. As it is, the beds are inside. The measuring tape+ the belt accentuates the horizontal cell phone holder. They're always in packs of brightly colored dress silk dress shirts.

They work on 100% commission just like the car guys, so that's why they hunt customers.

    I know I couldn't do it.

I doubt it, they just are getting done with a MAJOR renovation of the store.

We have gotten quite a bit of furniture from them and at least to me their service is pretty hard to beat. Pretty hard to beat in my opinion.

Prices are even harder to beat. American is a joke compared to Homemakers/Nebraska furniture mart

Do you shop at any other furniture stores or is Homemaker pretty hard to beat?

Im just glad I have Homan as my bodyguard, Eustachy joked. If I ever make it real big and get to drive a limo everyday, hell be driving it. I thought he came off the bench like somebody was stealing his cow or something.

I would doubt going out of business, doesn't Mr. Buffet own it?

I got a couch and chair and some other stuff ($1500ish) in August and they were incredibly nice and helpful.

The couch I got was $699 plus they had a $100 coupon for renovating the store, so I got it for $599. I saw the same couch for $899 at Home Furniture of Ames going out of business super duper sale 2 weeks ago.

Yes, Homemaker's is owned by Warren Buffet! My experiences there have been outstanding & we've been extremely pleased with the quality of the furniture.

I have to give a plus 1 to Homemaker's too. Our living set came from there and we can't complain with the delivery service either.

We just bought a dresser, headboard and nightstands at Homemakers. Looked at about 10 other places in DM and Omaha - price and quality was no contest.

Re: Homemaker sales guy is really close to car lot guy.

Most of the people at Homemakers have been really nice.

I just wish they'd give you a sticker or tag of some sort that identifies that you've been "helped" or who your salesperson is. Call it your salesperson "tagging" you.

My wife and I will go in and browse around - and for every piece of furniture we look at, we have to tell two salespeople that we've already been helped. Get's kinda frustrating by the 15th or so person.

Slumberland blew homemakers out of the water for pricing on our couches

Pricing is good but from my experience the quality is a lot of times Wal-Mart level. That includes the furniture and the sales people.

Re: Homemaker sales guy is really close to car lot guy.

We've had mixed experiences with Homemakers. The stuff we've gotten from them was good--when it didn't have some sort of flaw. Having gotten maybe six pieces of furniture from them, at least two of them had defects when they were brought home. Both times it took several phone calls to get replacements and they tried to tell us they'd have to charge us to deliver them to Ames. At least we were able to convince them that that was stupid.
