    Lebron to the NFL?

Did anybody else see this story (sorry if it's been posted already)?

Could NBA MVP LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers play in the NFL? - ESPN

I thought it was an interesting read and wanted to see what other CFers thought. I know I would sign Lebron if he wanted to play in the NFL.

I don't see why not. TO played semi-pro basketball. Bo Jackson, Deion Sanders, I know I am missing some others. If you are great athlete, you can play just about any sport well.

Michael Jordon was awesome at baseball during his suspension/retirement.

What would he be? WR? TE?

I could see him being like a Shannon Sharp style TE, only without the horse face.

    Re: Lebron to the NFL?

I think LeBron would be very good in the NFL. Who could stop him. A little 5'11 corner? no way, he could out jump them and out physical them. A linebacker? no, he would just run by them

If he wants to play in the NFL, I think he should play college ball for 2 years first. I recommend the University of Iowa.

I think he needs to worry about trying to win a championship in BBall before worrying about another sport.

Iowa State became the Cyclones after they leveled Northwestern in 1895. As the Chicago Tribune (9/29/1895) noted:
    'Struck by a Cyclone
It Comes from Iowa and Devastates Evanston Town'

    Re: Lebron to the NFL?

I don't see how you could stop him down around the end zone. If he can catch a ball to save his life, he's an automatic TD or pass interference call.

    Re: Lebron to the NFL?

I would find it crazy for him to do this. He's going to opt out of Cleveland, sign a max deal in NY, get even more endorsement money, and live the dream.

All the NFL would do is wear him out and end his career earlier...

Jim Tressel was on the Dan Patrick show today talking about his recruitment talk with LeBron back in the day
