    WW 2 Bomber?

Was there a WW 2 bomber that flew over Des Moines today?

I am not an expert but I thought I saw a B-17 bomber fly over at two different times today.

I saw a prop military plane, but I though it was a C-130... Only saw it for a second though.

Channel 5 just had a story on a B-17 bomber flying over Des Moines. So you may have seen one.

Heard B-17 was doing a fly over for something & on 31st they are doing rides. No idea where or what the cost will be.

    Re: WW 2 Bomber?

Thanks all, like I said I am not an expert but I have a history major so I am always interested in this stuff.

In town next week for rides, interesting. I have never flown before, maybe I can make that my first flight. Is there a cost?

There was an ad in the paper today; 1/2 hour rides cost 430.00. It'll be at the airport on Sunday, I think.

Only 14 left flying in the entire world.

    Re: WW 2 Bomber?

What I saw on 65/69 looked like a C-130, but I'm not an expert by any means. Large, slow, four prop.

C-130 is large, and slow with 4 props, but nowhere near as gorgeous as a shiny B-17 :D
