    Radio Coverage

Since I had no TV coverage of the game tonight, I never realized how much better John Walters has gotten doing the play by play on the radio. He is much smoother and easier to listen too. Eric & John also seem have better flow to the game. Early on, it seemed they would have minor tifts on the air.

    Re: Radio Coverage

I disagree. John is too bland. The Cyclones need a new voice.

    Re: Radio Coverage

There was only one true "Voice of the Cyclones" and that was Pete Taylor. John "Radio God" Walters is no Pete Taylor.

John Bland was better than Jim The Jet Mouth Zabel though.

John is no Pete, but he'll never be. He's settled in nicely.

True, there will never be another Pete Taylor, but John Walters is doing a great job. Following a legend is never easy, and John has done really well.

John is dong a darn good job. He paints a pretty good picture of what is going on but does not get too chatty. He also gives credit to good plays by opponents which I appreciate.

    Re: Radio Coverage

I think John does a great job. Pete Taylor was Mr. Cyclone. John has his own style. In many ways they are similiar. They both really get into the game, as well as voice their displeasure in a way that is appropriate when things are not going well. Pete was probably a little more animated with that however. A legend is hard to replace but John is doing a bangup job!

Pete would tell it like it is. John gets excited, but self-censors.
