    Rank your QBs (Big 12)

Here is a link for the 2009 starting QBs. (It is simply a blog post on newsday.com but still pretty interesting)

The Big 12 QB debate (Campus Confidential) - Newsday.com

Take off your Cardinal and Gold glasses and stop drinkin the Kool-aid for a bit and rank your Big 12 QBs, This has nothing to do with the team they are on, but if you were a coach in the Big 12 who would you want as your starting QB. Here are mine...

    Sam Bradford
    Colt McCoy
    Zac Robinson
    Robert Griffin
    Taylor Potts
    Austen Arnaud
    Blaine Gabbert
    Zac Lee
    Todd Reesing
    Jerrod Johnson
    Cody Hawkins
    Kansas State (Who Knows)

Potts would really depend on the system.

    You have Reesing too low.

There's been two QBs in the league to win a BCS bowl. You have one of them ranked 9th. The guy you ranked 9th has 19 times the number of wins against D-1 opponents as your 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th guys COMBINED. Additionally, your #9 has more wins versus D-1 opponents than your #3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 combined.

If you're going to start a thread like this, you should probably have a slight clue what you are doing.

Re: Rank your QBs (Big 12)

How good is Potts? Seriously, how can you put Potts that high? He is a junior, has never started, has -10 yards rushing and only 600 yards passing over 2 years as a backup. I know he has been behind a very good QB, but you would think they would put him in more (especially as often as Tech blows people out) or he would transfer, if he was really that good. Tech's system makes any QB look good, but just because he is at tech doesn't mean he is that good.

Re: Rank your QBs (Big 12)

I would have Reesing towards the top; put Reesing right below Bradford and McCoy.

Hard to say b/c there are a couple QB's we have not seen yet
    Jerrod Johnson
    Blaine Gabbert
    Taylor Potts
I think this is a pretty good assessment. I would drop Robinson a few, I just really don't like what I see in him, not saying he is bad- he just isn't one of the bests.

I agree that Griffin needs to be ranked higher on pretty much every list, but ahead of Reesing?

This is precisely the right answer. It's hard to tell how good a Texas Tech QB really is too, but you know he'll put up a butt ton of yards and TDs.

Re: Rank your QBs (Big 12)

These lists are incomplete without mentioning that Ricky Stanzi would be rated higher as an nfl draft pick than Arnaud. I know, I know....it's about the Big12, but I'm just beating hawk fan to the punch here....

I don't think Robert Griffin is lacking any talent. As a true freshman he made Baylor actually competitive. He might be the best of the group by the time he is done at Baylor.
