Lebron goes for 49 in loss!

and I thought Kobe / Melo was impressive last night.

kid's are putting on a show in the conf finals

Howard got 30 & 14 in the win.

IMPRESSIVE 4th quarter. Magic up 1-0.

    Cav's 8-1 in the playoffs.

Re: Lebron goes for 49 in loss!

And I just lost respect for him. I'm so tired of these so called "star" athletes. Lebron was tired at the end of the game, but healthy enough to get the tip on the jump ball. Then by golly his team loses and then he acts if he is hurt and gains all the attention of the cameras on him after the game. Come on Lebron you're talent is better than that selfish act of attention. You play as a team and lose as a team.

didn't watch the game, but I would guess it is no coincidence that LeBron scored so many points in the loss. I'm betting either the rest of the team was relying on him too much and not playing a team game OR he was not involving his team in the game enough.

he led the team in assists (8) and shot 67% from the field.

Re: Lebron goes for 49 in loss!

Considering that Orlando took 2 of 3 from the Cavs earlier this year, and the loss was a 4-point one in Cleveland, I thought it was highly presumptuous that everyone had automatically discredited the Magic from having any chance at winning this series. Especially after what the Magic did to the Cavs on April 3 in a 116-87 win. What that score doesn't tell you is that the Magic lead most of that second half by nearly 40 points and the Cavs didn't close it until the Magic pulled all of their key players off the floor. It wasn't just the fact that the Magic were on fire that night and the Cavs were cold on the floor - the Magic shut down the Cavs offense almost entirely, and the Cavs just quit playing. No one should be taking the Magic lightly in this series, and the Cavs just got a reminder of that last night - especially after the Magic just stole the Cavs' precious home-court advantage from them.

These impressive young guys (and others like CP3) are making the NBA fun to watch again!!!

Will we be saying this about Craig Brackins in a couple of yeras?

Since we are an elite team now, let's go get that One Cyclone Moment.

Re: Lebron goes for 49 in loss!

Did anyone see Van Gundy's timeout speech? I got a good chuckle out of it. It had the tone of a Dad talking to his son's 2nd grade team.

"We trimmed their lead to 6, now we need to get it to 4!, then we can think about 2 and taking the lead!"

The guy can win though, no doubt about it.

I haven't watched much NBA since MJ became irrelevant, but you're right - guys like LBJ, Howard, and CP3 are making the NBA somewhat fun to watch again. In limited doses, anyway...

He drives me nuts. I don't know what it is about his voice, but he always sounds so condescending.

Re: Lebron goes for 49 in loss!

I have said it over and over but the NBA is more fun to watch than college basketball is

College basketball is so watered down. Guys stay for one year and leave, or they transfer

NBA players are obviously more talented and they play way harder than people give them credit for. Watch Carmelo and Kobe go at it tonight and tell me if you see that much physical play in college. People also rip on the defense in the NBA but it is 100X better than it was in the 90's.

And with Howard, Stoudamire, Lebron, Kobe, CP3, D Williams, Durant, Roy, etc there is so many young good players that don't get in trouble. The NBA has a better image now than it has had in years IMO

They NFL has way, way more thugs than the NBA now. The NBA has done a great job cleaning up it's act. It's going to take a long time to get the fans back on board though.

Re: Lebron goes for 49 in loss!

NBA still sucks. Just had to post that to make sure people didn't forget. Playoffs are the only time when it's even remotely watchable. But even then it comes down to can your star player our play our star player.
