    Will Ferrell

Recently hosted the season finale of SNL... i'll always be a fan of celebrity jeopardy:
Hulu - Saturday Night Live: Jeopardy

But... some of his movies have been AWFUL lately (excluding stepbrothers). Is he still hilarious or past his prime?

If you watched the episode at all, it was probably the funniest SNL in a LONG time...then again, I'm not a huge fan of the new casts. Some of Ferrell's skits were just awesome. His opening monologue had me sold from the beginning.

As for his movies, I think Stepbrothers proves hes still got it. I think it just depends on the right ******.

Yeah, but I don't think that's funny because of Will Ferrell's acting. Danny McBride drives that show. Will Ferrell as a producer and as a bit part makes it funny, but I don't think the episodes without him suffer.

I tend to think he's kind of becoming a one-trick pony lately.

    Re: Will Ferrell

Last Saturday's SNL showed to me just how much I miss the late 1990s-early 2000s class, and just how far SNL has slipped in terms of being funny.

It was the funniest SNL has been in YEARS...

And the one trick is getting old.
I must be in the minority because I wasn't impressed with Step Brothers either. Semi Pro may be the worst movie I've ever spent $9 to go watch.

I'm really looking forward to Land of the Lost. I grew up watching that. I hope it's as good as I think it could be.

Based on his size and strength I bet the Predator monster would make a pretty good ball player!

While on live TV, Ford used a vulgar term to describe a private part of the female anatomy, adding that he was “happily married” and “got more than enough to eat at home.”

The out of nowhere Burt Reynolds appearance by Norm McDonald, then he disappeared, was great. Turd Ferguson is one of my favorite names, ever.

I thought the one the week before with Timberlake was way better.

    Re: Will Ferrell

I agree that his movies are not the classics that Old School an Anchorman were, I did think Semi-Pro was hilarious though. Whenever he is on SNL or just giving an interview on a talk show it is still non-stop laughter. I think he is just better at the off the cuff material.

I agree cycloneryan. I am 26, so the I got to see the SNL of the late 80's and 90's when I was growing up but really didn't understand it all that much. Today's SNL though, unlike most of you, I think is freakin hilarious. I love the current cast. It's really just generationally.
