It's a tradition... honestly, I think his attitude is poor. He's making a big deal out of nothing.

He's an idiot. Here's another take on it:
Mr. Harrison isn't going to Washington; Steeler spurns Obama - Shutdown Cor... - NFL - Yahoo! Sports
When Harrison won the NFL's Defensive Player of the Year award, he didn't decline and say, "As far as I'm was concerned, they would've given this award to someone else if they had had a better defensive season than me."

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that. ~ George Carlin

There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life:
The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves Orcs. ~ John Rogers

I don't see what the big deal is. They won the Superbowl. The President wants to conratulate them. To me this is like saying "I don't the want the ring. If you want to give me a ring, give me one when we don't win the Superbowl."

Man what an ego! "I'll only go if you love us and admire how great we are, irregardless of if we win the Super Bowl!"

Yeah the President doesn't have better things to do than invite random sports teams over.

Re: Harrison says no to White House trip, again

Based on the title of the thread, I thought maybe a certain Ames High basketball player had been invited to the White House to discuss Oregon State basketball...
