I just went and watched. Seems stupid. The bid times change randomly and make it impossible to win
It was pretty fascinating to watch. There was several high end digital SLRs that were down to 10 secs when the bids really started pouring in. From what I could see it added 0.06 secs for every "Bid Butler" (the automated bidder that you can set to bid a certain number of times) and 11 secs for every single "manual" bid. I saw up to 6 of these manual bids come in at one time which would bump it up another 66 secs.
I must say, whoever thought of this concept is a freaking genius and must be laughing all the way to the bank.
