I just hope he'll be able to give us something offensively.

Good find. I think L.A. will be a great contributor when he is a junior/senior a la homan.

I don't know about a Homan comparison, but if he can turn into a Damion Staple type player, that would be nice. Staple had a little more meat to him, but height wise, they're pretty similar. Pomlee will never be a gifted offensive player, but the kid knows how to rebound. He has that natural instinct to go get loose balls and play his *** off on defense.

He shows a good positive attitude that will be a benefit to the program. No worry about him leaving over playing time. I hope he develops his offense, which he should be able to do with his attitude and practce. Good to have him on the team!!

I was just about to post something just like this.

His attitude and maturity are a real credit to him and the team. I like the part where GMac said that he was already ready to go as a rebounder, but had more skills to work on. I think the staff sees a real gem in the rough here.

His response to the redshirting really impresses me. I'm glad that L.A. is a Cyclone!

Since we are an elite team now, let's go get that One Cyclone Moment.
Make this one for the ages!

Even if L.A. doesn't provide a scoring punch (which he could simply by rebounds and put-backs), I think it adds a really interesting dynamic to the team next year.

he better be a great contributor by the middle to end of next year and be ready to play a whole lot by his sophmore year since he was redshirted and got an extra year to work on his game, learn the system, get bigger ect.

I disagree. He really needs to be ready to be a solid contributor by his sophomore season. Next season, I would imagine that Brackins, Hamilton, JVB, and Dendy will be seeing the majority of minutes in the post. He will be needed to come in to provide some minutes and maybe even be a Boozer-type sparkplug.

But, we won't really be requiring him to make large contributions until at least his sophmore season, moving forwad...Even though he's been in the program a full season, he will still be a freshman. Good story, though...

That's just what this team needs....someone who is "nasty" on defense that will get the whole team going with his energy. Making a defensive stop or getting a rebound is just as good as scoring, this team desperately needs a solid rebounder.

i just dont see what everyone saw out of hamilton last year.... but maybe i missed something who knows. so i think pomlee will be better than him. and i love the addition of dendy but if he doesnt come in and perform like everyone thinks he will i think pomlee really needs to be ready to contribute for this team next year.

I was kind of hoping the article would give some examples of the strides he made in his size.

Natural raw talent, he is smart, and is willing to learn.

Wow. You're just a beacon of sunlight. So, you expect 2 star big men freshman to be All Americans? You may be setting yourself up for disappointment in all kinds of aspects of your life. Good luck with that....

completely understand and agree that he is willing to learn. but there is a whole lot more than juat learning the game. just seemed to me that he was a step to slow, didnt have post moves, couldnt shoot, wasnt a force of a rebounder, got pushed around way to easily and never blocked any shots for his height.
