from playing NCAA Football on PS2

i have come to the conclusion that WRs need durability just like RBs do. Doing a middle screen is hard if you have a small receiver because a 235 pound LB will kick the **** out of him. You have power backs like Shonn Greene, or Chris Wells so why not have power receivers? My idea is to have a receiver thats like 6'6 245 with sub 4-5 speed. In Iowa State's new offense they will just dump the ball off all over the field. Doing that isn't going to work unless the player has running lanes in front of him for YAC. Since there isn't always green in front of you and sometimes you get double covered, thats why you need a big guy at WR to throw a 6 yard out, and then have the size to break tackles and take it in for six. This isn't a criticism of ISU's offense because a lot of schools run this offense and I hate watching receivers get tackled as soon as they catch the ball. Another reason I hate Big XII ball.

6-6, 245 player designed to catch the ball?

Most of the time, that is called a tight end.

Who I think they are the most under-utilized position on the field in the college game. I'd love to see our TE's get more touches. I guess we need a decent line to accomplish this though.

    Why stop there?

I'm thinking of a 7' 11", 490lb half man / half gorilla with 3.2 speed. We can clone him 10 times and have a hell of a team. I haven't worked out how the man-rillas are going to fit in on campus and stay eligible with their classes yet, but either way, shouldn't we at least be looking in to this?

Also, grow up and get a new system. It's not 2001 anymore.

To be even more specific, that also sounds like Vernon Davis

Except Vernon Davis is 6'3 250 and ran a 4.38. Besides Dwight Howard, he is the most visually impressive physical specimen in sports.

Personally I am still waiting on us to install the Tecmo bowl system where our reciever does a slo-mo high five with Bo Williams every TD.
