I'd sure like to know that too. It was a great deal and would work perfect for my fall schedule if it was available.

No matter how good you are, you're going to lose one-third of your games. No matter how bad you are you're going to win one-third of your games. It's the other third that makes the difference. ~Tommy Lasorda

I'd go for it again. Seats were so-so but what do ya expect for $99?

We sat behind Julo for 2 of the 3 games last year. That was cool.

I would be SHOCKED if this promotion didn't happen again. It may not be sponsored by Applebees, but something similar will be offered I'm sure.

I went to the kansas game 2 years ago, bitter cold and windy. I aske Julius and Amy where their seats were, and he said in his accent and he pointed "to the press box". I assumed he had a permanent seat or pass or something.

I was talking to a person who said they had a friend within the Applebees franchise and claimed Applebees lost their shirt in the sponsorship. Have no idea if it's true - curious if anyone heard anything similar.

Regardless - it's obvious that from a fan standpoint it went over well. Have to wonder if that claim was true and given the current financial woes of so many companies - if finding another sponsor may prove exceedingly difficult.

    Re: Applebee's Mini-Pack

If it's not called the Applebee's Mini-Pak, it will be something else. But it won't be announced until the athletic department sees how season ticket sales are going and how many seats should be available and at what price for the mini pak(s).

    Where is that thermometer anyway?

Gene Smith, 1993-2000. 7 years, 6 NCAA's, 1 bowl game. Revenue sports postseason participation 50%. Good.
    Bruce Vandevelde, 2000-20005. 5 years, 4 bowl games, 2 NCAA's, 2 NIT's. Postseason participation 80%. Better.
    Jamie Pollard, 2005-. 4 years. 1 bowl game, 0 NCAA's, 0 NIT's. Postseason participation: 13%. The next big step.

My ignore list: splitidentity, tarheelhawk, superdorf, clones_jer. That is all.

    Re: Applebee's Mini-Pack

Monty love the Pollard research quite true unfortuantly.

I'd guess at the games most likely the Army game and the Okie St game as possiably in the mini pack?

There wasn't a thermometer last year right? Why would there be one this year?

That wouldn't surprise me at all. I bought 12 last year for the family and to share with various people. That's $240 worth of Applebee's money. I know most of it was redeemed. I wonder if they didn't think they'd sell that many or get them all redeemed by 12/31. Getting a ticket for three games for essentially $79 was a steal.

You'd think that it'd be pretty easy for Applebees to know what their cost vs benefit was for this ahead of time. If they lost money then it was probably their fault for not doing the math up front.
