Patton receives a Pat on the back

    http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=2742928

Hanging on by a toenail, it is lucky for him he beat Iowa State. They could hire WM.

Patton can coach, but he seems to have an attitude problem. Boulder is a tough place to recruit Bball players into, is it the altitude or the distractions from Denver?? Don't look for WM to land in Denver, he needs to go east as an assistant, and if Patton goes back to his roots in the southeast, he will succeed.

Heard he has cleaned out most of his personal stuff so he can leave quickly. Just weird. Reminds me of Iowa running off Tom Davis and perhaps Hayden Fry. Expect Ricardo to go pro. Look what happened to Tony Barone.

I have always respected the job Patton did at CU. That is not a basketball hotbed, yet he continually put out a competitive team.

He should have gotten the hell out of there when Memphis came calling years ago. He deserved a better send off.

Patton was the recipient of one of my favorite LE quotes ever. When Homan and the Harrisons were in the big altercation at Hilton, Patton yells at Homan to cut it out and back off. Eustachy comes running over and screams, "Why don't you coach your own f-ing team!" right in Patton's face.

Im just glad I have Homan as my bodyguard, Eustachy joked. If I ever make it real big and get to drive a limo everyday, hell be driving it. I thought he came off the bench like somebody was stealing his cow or something.

Patton could coach??? He could recruit ok, but coach??? Are we talking about the same guy that's team built a 15 point second half lead on us last year and had us completely out of sync, then decided to put the press on Stinson and Blalock and let us come back to almost win that game...that may have been the dumbest coaching decision I've ever seen.

I love those two quotes...... Great stuff.
