    Military's Future

I am sure some of you have seen and heard about this already, but for those of you who haven't here you go.

Interesting I think. I wonder what else they have thought up.

    Re: Military's Future

I used to work at Moody in years past. It is fifteen miles from the Florida border and within two hours from the Gulf or the Atlantic and four hours to DisneyWorld. Great place for military retiree people.

Maybe they need a ray gun for the alligators in the nearby Okeefenokee Swamp. Iraq would make a great demo place. It can be 130-140 plus a ray gun on top of that and you will have some real hot Shiite or sunnin' Sunnis.

The last time I saw ray guns like this was in the Godzilla movies.

    haha that thing is awesome

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

How would you like to be the demonstrator for that.

If they have this on an Air Force Base, what do they have on an Army base? Godzilla? He used to swat those things with his big feet.

They need these things in Seattle, Washington and on the boarder of Mexico. I would volunteer to run the thing if they did that. Nothing quite like lighting someone up in those 2 theatres.

How about synthetic 'black ice' for use in dry arid climates. LINK

If you think your cold climate neighbors drive bad on the first icy commute of the year, imagine if they have never driven on ice ever. Much hilarity would follow.

They should just put those up instead of the fences. Weld the switches in the on position.

    Re: Military's Future

This heat ray weapon looks stupid. 130 F isn't that hot. Heck, sometimes it gets to 120 in the desert. If people know it is harmless why would they stop what they are doing? If they have a gun, are they really not going to shot at you because you made them 130 F? And what about certain clothing? They said it penetrates most clothing. What doesn't it penetrate? Yet another waste of money. The thing probably cost a trillion dollars to develop.

    Re: Military's Future

I think a comment was made that it causes muscle reactions that trigger you to kind of "Freeze" or tense up once you are inflicted with the ray. Sort of an uncontrolable thing I think.

    Re: Military's Future

If you like this sort of stuff (which I do) then you ahve to watch future weapons on Discovery. The show profiles weapons that are under development for use by our mititary. Worth putting on the DVR list.
