    What about this fella

This guy is still uncommitted for 2007 and he goes to the same school as Charles Boozer. Probably a long shot to land him since we arent even on his radar. http://rivalshoops.rivals.com/viewpr...Sport=2&SR=TSN

Tim Floyd is after him...he will prob get him

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

    Re: What about this fella

I dont really think he is a need for us right now. We have a guy named Craig Brackins, who plays the same position as him, coming in next year. You may have heard of him.

    Re: What about this fella

Nothin says Brackins can't play power forward and Diarra center. That way Wesley Johnson doesn't have to continue playing out of position and can move to small forward. Just a thought, I'm not trying to do rocket science here.

Dont forget we will have Alex Thompson next year too. Not saying he is any better or worse then this Diarra guy, but I sometimes forget about Thompson since he is not able to play this year.

    Re: What about this fella

I doubt that Thompson will have much impact for ISU next year. Coach McDermott said in his call in show a couple weeks back that Alex is doing the things they have asked of him and has put on a little bit of muscle. I just think that Marsden and Thompson will be reliable backups the next couple of years and might average 10 points between the two of them.

    IMHO,
Brackins is a forward not a center. He'll play 4 next year, not 5.

    Re: What about this fella

I heard that Thompson looked like our best post during the summer. I have a feeling that we will be pretty deep down low next year with Thompson/Brackins/Hubalek/Marsden/Johnson & Johnson.

    Re: What about this fella

A 5 star recruit and Baylor is on his list? Interesting.

GMac said on the call-in show this week that Brackins is a 4 and he might be paired with Thompson playing the 5 at times next season. Jiri is going to play the 5 as well and Thompson supposedly has shown enough versatility that he could play some 3 4 and 5 with Brackins playing the 3 and 4 and with Jiri we have the possibility of putting a big lineup on the court with all 3 of them at once and move Clark or Wesley to the 2 when you do that possibly. Mac basically ran down a couple different scenerios and said that next season we'll have a lot of depth and flexibility to put a lot of different looks on the floor which is a good problem to have.

So there is a possibility that next year we could have 3 guys on the floor that are 6'9'' or taller???
