    Point guard next season?

Is the Chassidy Cole going to be real good or do you think Whitney Williams will be ready to take over? WW looked impressive times last season but got limited PT due to Ez and Aus playing 35 mpg.... I feel one of these will fit into the PG spot well! and we always have aus available to back things up if needed... I think if Aus is healthy next season which she probably will be im guessing that we will see her playing like she during the NCAA run

If it doesn't end up being Aus I would say that WW and Stuckey would be the favorites at this point.

    Re: Point guard next season?

We're torn between the fact that Aus plays better when she's running point and Williams needs to gain a lot more game experience at PG before she's our starting PG in 10-11.

I suspect Aus will be the starting PG and Williams will start at 2G. Generally it seems like Fennelly often has the 2G playing PG for a few possessions here and there to mix things up and to give the PG a break without taking her from the game, so Aus, Williams, and Stuckey will all see significant time at point.

I'm sure Cole will play some point as well. She'd have to be awfully good to break the starting lineup this coming season, though.

yeah agreed i think ww is good enough to give us a good effort at the 2 guard she can shoot pretty well... Aus does seem to do a lot of goof things when playing PG

I prefer Aus as PG - people are forgetting about defense. She has the length and height to stop opponents.
Williams or Cole will get posted up down low a lot if we stay in man-to-man, which I assume Bill will do.

    Re: Point guard next season?

Why is it that you always hear about Aus wanting being more comfortable playing 2. She seems to have been more productive at the point. Is that solely a product of the specific personnel we've had on the team the last two years?

    Re: Point guard next season?

I'm sure everyone hopes WW improves enough off season to be starting pg. Then the other 4 guards with pg experience can play off in practice to see what the order is. Everyone but Aus will have to improve to fill in for Ezell.

Yeah, but she also leads the team in turnovers the last two seasons! You can't win if you don't have the ball.

Could be, but BF has said he will run 4 guard 1 post line-up with the loss of Arlen, so my guess is:

    Williams/Aus/Stuckey pg/2/3 guard rotating possessions
sf - Bolte - her size allows for the 4 guard line-up
    C Prins

That's hardly fair. It comes with the territory when you play PG. She's been #3 in the conference in A/TO ratio each of the past two seasons.

I love in the ball in Lacey's hands as much as possible. Good passer, dribbler, and will drive all the way to the hole if no defense comes to help on her. Love her aggressiveness!

Are you serious? She only dribbles with one hand and 90% of the time drives to her right. I have to close my eyes when she has the ball, because I don't know whats going to happen! And the rest of the team looks the same way most of the time on the court.
