    No NFL for Graham Harrell?

I loved watching him play last year, and thought he would be a 1st or 2nd round pick. Is anyone else absolutely shocked he doesn't even have a free agent contract yet for a team?

No matter how good you are, you're going to lose one-third of your games. No matter how bad you are you're going to win one-third of your games. It's the other third that makes the difference. ~Tommy Lasorda

At least he got to try out for a team. He got a chance to prove himself.

Vikings might want him if the Packers go after him before the Bears snub him.

He's a system quarterback, I'm not surprised he wasn't drafted.

The guy throws slants, outs, and drags at Texas Tech. It is seriously a bunch of junior high routes but when it is coached well, it really does stretch the defense. Alot of the throws he made at Tech he won't be able to make in the NFL. Limited mobility and arm strength. Would be a good Arena league QB

I think he would be the perfect backup QB or 3rd string for NE Patriots. Their system is almost identical to TT

Yes, I'm am just as shocked that Harrell didn't get drafted as I'm am that Kliff Kingsbury, Cody Hodges, B.J. Symons and Sonny Cumbie didn't make it in the NFL.

You would think high school quarterbacks would see realize this when they are being recruited.... must be too busy looking at the stats instead

Re: No NFL for Graham Harrell?

I know hes a system QB, but he seems accurate, and the system that he ran at TT seems be be run in more and more at the pro level. Namely New England, Arizona, quick and precise mainly short timing routes.

Its easy to look accurate when you stretch the defense as much as TT or other systems similar to theres do. Even NE and Arizona's system isnt even the same, similar but not nearly the same.

Totally agree here. He never had to make reads at the line. He's got the tools physically, but the quick thinking side was never developed. Great college QB, but not NFL material.

Vikings dont need him, they will have Favre later this week to go along with Rosenfels, Jackson, and John David Booty.

The 35 yard lazer from the left hash to the right sideline to Crabtree to beat Texas looked pretty good. Not many QBs can make that throw.

I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up on a practice roster next year and eventually makes it as a backup.... but well see
