Great...a "mentor" to re-enforce TJ's bad habit of throwing interceptions off his back foot. Hopefully Sage is far enough along in his career so that he won't need any "mentoring" like that...

Favre just needs to go away...

    Re: Farve to Minnesota?

I think the Vikings are better off without him, but it would still be cool if he would come and lead them to a Super Bowl title, no matter how unlikely. It wouldn't be as cool as Sage leading them to a title, but it would still be cool.

    Re: Farve to Minnesota?

Sage can't catch a break. I think he'd be pretty good if he could go through a preseason and training camp knowing he was the guy. Not have to worry about battling and pressing all the time. Be able to relax and play.
I hope Favre's Wranglers cut off his circulation and he loses the ability to use his legs - just for the football season.

    Re: Farve to Minnesota?

I personally am not interested in the drama and distractions involved with picking him up.

I'm also not convinced he has more of what we need that Sage does. I can't picture Favre in a game manager role. Instead I see him as a guy who is going to chuck the ball around the field wildly in hopes of adding to the TD record.

    Re: Farve to Minnesota?

Even with the bonus of having a "gunslinger" in the backfield with AP, as a Viking fan I'd rather try and see what happens with Sage/T-Jack this fall instead of the circus that Favre would bring to camp in Mankato & the Dome.

I think a lot of this is the media trying to milk a few stories out of #4 before he finally (PLEASE) fades to history.

Favre will ruin his legacy if he comes back yet again.

All "retired" athletes should take a lesson from Barry Sanders.
