    ANother Car Question

My keyless entry has gone out on my "02 Taurus. I changed the battery in the unit but still nothing. Is there some sort of reciever on the car somewhere that I can check out?

Exaggeration is a BILLION times worse than understating.

    Re: ANother Car Question

My sister who works for Ford, stated that you need to take it in to a Ford Service to get it done. She also stated that you may not want to hear this from a Ford person, but thats they only way to get it fixed.

    Another is doing this:
The sticker should be fairly large, as well as the numbers. The module it's located on is actually about 6x6 or 8x8. The code will be 5 digits, in black, each digit about 3/4 inch in size. If you have a remote, you can hit a button on it and hear the "clicking" of the module under the dash. If no fob, hit your unlock button on the door. Of course, you're going to hear the locks cycling, but what your listening for is a distinct "click". Once you hear it, you can't miss it. This is applicable to any Ford/ Mercurty/ Lincoln with keyless entry.

The question is what does it actually do.... right now

Try reprogramming the remote with what I stated, or pay 175+- at a Ford Service </SPAN itxtvisited="1">

    Re: ANother Car Question

Holy hell! Ford charges that much to get a fob reprogrammed? My Dodge and first Eclipse both had to get fobs reprogrammed and I think it was like 50ish for both.

Thats only if it's more than a reprogramming. She believes if the reprogramming does not work then You should take it in to a "Expert"
