    The Todd Mcshay Factor

Has anyone noticed how the past three years Mcshay has picked one quarterback and just rammed it down peoples throats for three months prior to the draft. Is he causing all the hype for these guys? Cutler, Ryan, and now Stafford. He is always the one starting the ESPN hard ons for all these guys. My question.... is Stafford really that much better than everyone else? The guy does have a great arm, but I watched him play several times last year and wasn't overly impressed...... If I were a quarterback going into the draft, I would take Mcshay out for supper!

Now that MBB is back, do we still have to pretend that WBB matters?

I'm not sure why you would ever take a QB, RB or WR and a #1 pick? It never seems to workout great for anyone.

it is better than Kiper saying everyone is the next montana no matter who they are.

Agree completely. I would always go the OT, DE, DT route. Those are they guys you can't let slip.

Mcshay > Kiper. I can't stand Mel Kiper, its almost like he thinks the only player in the draft is Stafford. Its really annoying.

I just can't wait for Stafford to be a bust. The Lions are drafting him... it is going to happen.

McShay had him like 6th or 7th on his board forever but had him still getting taken by the Lions. I don't think he has talked him up nearly as much as he did Ryan last year. And he was right on Ryan. He has even said that Stafford is no Ryan

Eli Manning, Peyton Manning, Carson Palmer, Drew Bledsoe, Troy Aikman, John Elway, and Terry Bradshaw would disagree with you

There are also some guys who had solid careers like Vinny Testaverde, Michael Vick, and Jeff George

Definitely more stories of it working out great than it not

Really? All Kiper and Mcshay have talked about is Stafford it seems like.

You must have missed the numerous debates on TV, some of which got heated, between McShay and Kiper regarding Stafford. McShay isn't convinced that Stafford is going to bea great QB and he has said many times that he thinks the Lions should draft Jason Smith.

The mock isn't what these think the teams should do, it's what they predict they will do.

I think you are pretty spot on here.

Hell, 3 months ago Kiper and Mcshay had verbal brawls about Stafford, but Mcshay has seemed to get kiper to reverse his ground a bit.

Umm... Cutler (Vanderbilt) is a Pro Bowler, and Ryan (Boston College) had maybe the best season a rookie QB has ever had in the NFL.

It sounds to me like he knows what he's talking about. What's your point here?
