    what Craig said

"I feel like alot of the pieces of the puzzle are now there and it's time to do somethin."
    -CB
That got me excited and it shows how bad he wants to win here.

I was hoping for that to be the thing to keep Craig at ISU another year. I was hoping he would want to leave on a good note and lead the team/program to some success.

    Re: what Craig said

Do you have to graduate from ISU to have your jersey retired? Because if Craig returns next season and leads us back to the NCAA I have to think he has to be in contention. We haven't retired one since Hoiberg but they don't make them like Brackins very often.

I would support that espescially if we go to teh tourney and start winning down the road. I think that this possibly could be one of the biggest desicions in our MBB history. Thanks Craig.

Caught that too. Sounds to me like he was talking to his teammates and telling them not to just go through the motions in the off-season.

I don't think so. For that to happen I think the guy needs to play for 4 years..

He's become what Wes Johnson should have been.

It's a real postive to have Craig stay and say what he did today. Tremendous pat on the back for the coach.

    Re: what Craig said

Despite his talent, he seems to be a team player. He mentioned during his press conference how much fun he had playing with his team mates. I'm glad he's coming back and I'm glad he's a Cyclone.

    Re: what Craig said

I would think playing 4 years is the criteria otherwise Marcus Fizer and Stacy Frese would both have their numbers in the rafters right now.

might have to change the criteria for men or drop our standards. If 4 years is the rule it will be a long time before someone of the caliber of those already up there stays for all 4 years. Maybe Brackins is the man.

    Re: what Craig said

So, now that he is staying, what else is changing to make the team better in 2009? Who is going to step up, or in or whatever to make this more than another year of the CB show?

I am ******* serious when I say this: Brackins made a huge *** sacrifice for this team and the whole lot including coaching and fans better step it up BIG TIME to repay this debt. He has put the program on his back and it is high time someone helped carry the load. That means weights, a summer of basketball, and working out of their minds in the fall as well as some ridiculously good coaching and renewing and adding to ticket sales. It may be that in the history of Iowa State athletics no one has put off so much for love of the Cyclones.
