Shooters is closed now. They actually blew it up. So in fact it was bombed. Toad Cove is where it is at now. However they are going to have to file for Bankrupcy so I am not sure what is going on there this summer. My favorite is Frankie and Louies.

Ever party at Dog Days (Old Salty Dog)? I think some ISU alums own it and Wobbly Boots BBQ. What MM are you on? We are at 20 just west of the Blue Moon marina.

+1 on Frankie and Louies. Make sure you get a picture with the Captain!

Try Bambooze just off Chimney point around MM13. That place is a blast, and Augustus shows up quite a bit. It has tons of ISU and Iowa stuff on the walls, owned by Iowan's.

There is also a new place down there that looks very promising. It's called coconuts.
I live of O road at a place called Millstone. You drive through the town of Laurie to get there. We are about 5 minutes by car from Frankie and Louies and about 10 minutes by boat.

We're heading down for Memorial weekend - 8 of us total. Look for a 27ft Crownline that is named "CyTanic" - that will be us.

    Re: Lake of the Ozarks

I was down in Ozarks territory a couple weeks ago for a race in Wheatland, MO and will be down there probably 4 more times, it would be nice to go visit the Lakes while were there but the races keep me pretty busy.

    Re: Lake of the Ozarks

Myself and a group of friends head down every 4th of July, we rent a house at Tan Tara Estates and usually go boating on the 4th at Party Cove, we are hanging onto our youth as long as we can. Bars we always visit are Dog Days, good live music and laid back atmosphere, and when we are in the mood to party/dance we visit Topsider, huge bar with many option, club, decks, live music. Both are by the bridge.

    Re: Lake of the Ozarks

You mentioned a condo, I'm assuming this is an invite? So, sure, If the family and I can stay at your condo, we'll be down.

Seriously though, I haven't been down there in years. It's a haul from here in Illinois where I live now. I wish I lived closer, what a great place.

Anybody golf much there? We usually play Sycamore, and Bear Creek. Sycamore is probably the best value at the lake.

    Re: Lake of the Ozarks

My parents have a place at MM14 and I keep my pontoon down there. My wife and I close bambooze down for the season last year. Never been there before but it was pretty good. a lot of Iowa stuff but some ISU stuff as well.

I love playing Sycamore but my dad HATES playing there due othe H2O. Played bear creek for the first time off season last fall (80 F in November) and I really like it.

Been going down there about 14 years and have had a condo on the 2 for the last 5 years. We've been to Coconuts a few times and it's really a good place. Sometimes the water can get a bit rough and his docks are open to the main channel. The facility layout, pool tiki bar, beach, and open air dinning are great.

I love Backwater Jack's, great food, deep in a cove, and live music. F&L's is great as well with the beach and great pizza. Just not enough parking unless you get there at 10am. One of our other favorites is Dock Knockers. Love the steaks and bucket-o-shrimp. The Toad is good but over priced and busy, busy during the summer months.

We go down about every 2-3 weeks during the summer. We'll be down a week over Memorial day, the week of July 4th with Family & a possible trip to Party Cove, and the week of July 20th. We'll also hit quite a few other random weekends until football starts up.

We have a 29' Formula fastech called Sugar Mama so if you see us just yell Go Cyclones
